We have had a a nice week. Chris had MLK Jr. Day off on Monday and took yesterday off so he could be present at our 3-D ultrasound of our new baby. We love having Daddy home. The only problem is it makes it so much harder when he goes back to work! Yesterday morning we had blueberry pancakes with whipped cream and a cherry on top so we could get in the spirit of Inaugural Day. We enjoyed having the festivities on T.V. throughout our day. I did my visiting teaching (visited three ladies from my church to share a spiritual message and see if I could offer service), the young women's activity at church at night, my OB appointment and ultrasound, and worked for five hours. I managed to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner on top of that. On Monday, Judy watched Hallie for four hours so Chris and I could have a super-date. It was so awesome. We did some shopping and went out to eat at Old Chicago. Boy do we cherish those dates-- they are magical. Monday night we spent with our friends Joe and Charlotte and their children Dottie and Elliott. It was really laid-back and fun. And Joe and Charlotte didn't mind that I bailed on a homemade meal and made chili dogs and chips instead! On Sunday we had Mom and Mike over for dinner and had a pleasant time as usual. Our menu that night was chicken pillows (a recent favorite in our house), homemade mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce. Saturday night was girl's night! I got together with a bunch of girlfriends for a fun time at my friend Emily's house to celebrate Jen's birthday. Shanda and I went together. That is the best therapy-- the car rides to and from girl's nights with Shanda. Last Thursday and Friday we spent lots of time close to the bathroom because Hallie was wearing new Tinkerbell and Elmo underwear. That is what we will be doing for much of today-- focusing on potty training. I can't complain. Even though potty training isn't exactly a cake walk, I still have the best job out there.Hal inherited the ghost- white complexion from me.

We were watching tv all day long to and trying to teach garren who are new president is.
Garren saw him dancing and told grady, 'I love barack obama!'
I love the inaugural pancakes! What a good idea! I couldn't come up with anything clever for it.
I love how the potty is in the background. What fun you must be having! :)
I'm bitter about how great you look at 6 months btw. ;) I should send you some of my photos sometime. It really makes me laugh when I look at my old photos.
I'm loving the bookmarks! Using it for Catherine Called Birdy. Silly book.
Michelle you are looking so good. I cant believe your little girl is going to be here so soon. Good luck on potty training!
Thanks for having us over again! It was so fun to be with your family. I love how grown-up Hallie is getting. She's going to be a great big sister. By the way, seriously, you make so many yummy things. Every time I look at your blog, I think to myself, "why can't I be Michelle?"
I'm tired just reading the posts of everything you do! We love chicken pillows (well, we call them chicken roll-ups, but your name sounds prettier), too.
