Tea Party

For my birthday, Mom and I channeled our English heritage and enjoyed a lovely high tea and toured a local castle last Saturday. We reveled in all-you-can-drink herbal tea, scrumptious scones, decadent lemon curd and devonshire cream, fruit, veggies, a variety of tea sandwiches, and desserts. The castle tour was beautiful-- it had a mixture of seven different types of architecture and was built at the turn-of-the-century. After we finished our tea and tour we visited my favorite tea shop and bookstore downtown. It was a perfect day of mother-daughter birthday celebrations.
