Mom's visit

Mom has come and gone. I dropped her off at the airport this morning and I have a little hole in my heart because of it. I can't wrap my head around the concept that the next time I see her I will be a mother of two! It makes me feel a little vulnerable. But, even though I am lonesome for her already . . . I have to acknowledge that the time she was here was absolutley blissful! We did lots of fun mother-daughter activities. Like shopping, tea, and pedicures. And as we traditionally do, we watched several movies. One tradition we broke was our late night tradition. Typically we stay up talking until at least 2 or 3. But -- since I am six-months pregnant -- the latest we stayed up was 10! While she was here I turned twenty-seven. I am both proud and a little scared of that number. I was five by the time my mom was this age. So I can clearly remember her at twenty-seven. Having her here for my birthday was a dream-come-true. One thing I noticed in the pictures we took is that we look more alike now than we ever have before. Thank you so much for coming Mom. I love you. And I miss you so much already.

I love the 3 generation picture...complete with Hallie's little purse, just like her Grandma. Hallie is such a cutie, and you and your mom are absolutely beautiful, I am so glad you had a great birthday, Michelle.
