Go! Go! Go!
That is the type of Saturday we had.
This morning our family went to Lowe's to check out flowers for the townhome we are moving into. Then, Hallie and I went to our dear friend Dottie's 3rd birthday party! It was princess-themed and Dottie was so fun to watch open her gifts. We had a fun time picking out her Ariel doll for her. Chris unfortunatley had a migraine and had to stay home to sleep it off.
Later in the evening, we all went to the park with friends from church. Brother Falaou made some amazing roast pig. Other people brought sides and desserts. Chris and I made a new recipe called Supreme Pasta Salad. It had mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, tomato, red onion, green pepper, and farfalle with a delicious tomato Italian herb vinagrette. We thought it was a keeper! Chris was playing soccer with the guys. He was wearing sandals and kicked his toenail back as he went for the ball. It doesn't look very pretty. Chris, the brave man that he is, says it doesn't hurt very much and that even the initial kick wasn't that bad. At the end of the picnic, the kids hopped on the merry-go-round. Hallie enjoyed herself. If you listen to her on the video I took you can hear her little high voice say:
"Go! Go! Go!"
Hallie's friend Anaya looks as calm as can be-- it actually was spinning quite fast!
This is my dear friend Emily (Anaya's Mom). Today she brought me a bag filled with awesome books to borrow. One of them is Stephenie Meyer's new thriller, The Host. It was #1 on the New York Times Bestseller List last week and is impossible to get at the library. Thanks, Em! You're the best!
Chris and I look tired after our long, fun day.

Hallie is beyond brilliant and undoubtedly the prettiest, most precocious blue eyed blonde toddler girl in the world! Of course, I am not the least bit biased as her adoring grandma!!!
